Closed Make it law that cyclists have to have insurance the same as car drivers

I believe that cyclists should have to have insurance and registration so they can be identified and held accountable for traffic offences and incidents that they are responsible for.

Cyclists use the roads exactly the same as car drivers who have to have a license, Car tax and insurance but cyclists have none.

I believe as a driver that cyclists should have to have insurance and a registration so they can be held accountable for breaking road traffic laws and incidents / accidents that they cause including what I think is the most common road traffic law that cyclists break which is not stopping at red traffic lights.
