Closed on
Introduced in 2009 the is widely agreed to be damaging to the economy in particular tourism. From April 1st 2016 it will add up to £142 to the cost of flying from the UK.
Air Passenger Duty has been devolved to Northern Ireland & Scotland therefore it is only fair it is also devolved to Wales.
In March 2014 - Silk Commission recommended that Air Passenger Duty be devolved to Wales.
Devolving Air Passenger Duty to Wales and aboloshing it would boost tourism, boost the Welsh economy, reduce air fares from Wales and also increase the number of destinations available from Cardiff Airport.
