Closed petition The government and DWP to recognize cardiac conditions are disability's
Closed on
I am calling on the Government to recognise heart failure and other cardiac conditions as disabilities, for the purposes of working out who is entitled to disability benefits, for to long heart conditions and the disability's that they cause have been ignored in the entitlement for certain benefits
I am 53 years old at present I had a myocardial infarction aged 30, double heart bypass aged 30 and a further bypass aged 33, severe heart failure from the age of 30 , I have had umpteen cardiac arrests and have a implantable cardiovertor defibrillator resynchronization device , which was upgraded from an icd , because we look okay , DWP assessors think we are okay but can't see the damage inside , think it is time for the government to properly assess cardiac patients and their disabilities
