Closed Introduce a charge for travellers to pay for cleaning up once they have moved on

Some travellers who break into land cause damage which they do not have to pay for. This is wrong and creates a system with no incentive to stop them doing it again.

Around where we live land has been damaged including the local football field. It costs money to get court orders and repair the damage.

All the council’s costs involved could and should be used for local people instead of wasted due to a lack of punishment to deter this behaviour.
