Closed petition Debate parking on pavements. This practice is a danger to all
Closed on
I went blind just last year, I have sustained many injuries walking into parked cars, I was even hit on the main road by a hit and run car and sustained minor injuries. I am afraid now to go out. The practice is a danger for disabled, the Blind, Children & Mothers with push chairs.
This dangerous practice is an obstruction for Disabled people and Mothers with pushchairs and young children having to be forced into the road to pass the vehicle and is a very dangerous manoeuvre I have hundreds of photographs of cars, vans and large lorries parked fully on the footpath and other cars illegally parked which can be sent if you need them.
And copies of statements of people on social media who believe it is their god given right to park on the pavement outside their house.
