Rejected petition Protect those who discuss and live their faith in public from discrimination.

Numerous people of faith in the UK live in fear of answering questions about their faith because they know this could result in discrimination and disciplinary action. Why in our 'free' country are we increasingly protecting the public freedom from religion instead of protecting the freedom of it?

More details

There are numerous examples of people in the work or public places undergoing disciplinary action because the right to freedom from religion is being protected and the right of freedom of religion is violated. Most religious practice is not private and cannot be done in private. Baptism is not private, confession is not private, answering questions about faith is not private and it should not be a public offence to quote a sacred text when MP's can publicly swear upon when taking office!
