Dividends from shares are now tax free up to £5,000 pa. As a Sipp holder, soon to be in drawdown, I have realised that dividends paid to the Sipp, then withdrawn by the pension holder, will be taxed at marginal rate. Pensioners should have the option to withdraw dividends up to £5,000 pa tax free.
