Closed Keep university bursaries for student nurses

The U.K. Government is planning to scrap maintenance grants and bursaries that many trainee nurses rely on to get through their valued education. In place of the grants and bursaries, the government plan to change them into student loans.

Newly qualified nurses that do an extremely valuable job, are starting their careers with huge training debts which accrue interest, will be paying for their whole careers.

This is a disgraceful treatment of the future generations of NHS staff and should be scrapped.
