Closed petition When a minor offence becomes 'spent', remove it from a person's enhanced DBS.

When I was young, I got into trouble with the police which resulted in a criminal record; these were minor offences. All my convictions are now spent but they still show up on an enhanced DBS check which makes it difficult to find alternative employment.We shouldn't be judged by juvenile mistakes.

After a search online, it became apparent that this issue is common. There are many skilled and qualified people who are more than capable of doing there job but employers won't take the risk because of a document which states information from 5, 10, 15 even 30 years ago.
