Rejected petition Make pepper spray & tasers legal for adults to carry in public for self defense.

As we all know crime is on the rise and police can't always help us every moment of every day especially in split second situations like a mugging or an assault, so why doesn't the government make it legal for people over the age of 18 to legally own and publicly carry pepper spray or a stungun.
