Closed petition Please make it LAW to Scan all animals on a regular basis at the vets
Closed on
Currently in the UK they're are no laws with dogs/cats/animals getting scanned on a regular basis when they visit the vets.
There is very sadly a big problem in the UK with dogs/cats getting stolen or going missing. Please Sign & Share to help this happen.
Shocking that it is not law already.
All vets need to scan on new appointments, and scan on a regular basis. The Microchip can also disappear or move.
Some people find them and do not hand them in to the right authorities(dog warden etc) like it is law to do.
My personal experience in the past each time my dogs have been scanned I have had to request it. This should not be the case.
Luckily I did that, as if my dog did go missing I would of never of got him back as his chip vanished. Dogs have a chip for a REASON
