Rejected petition To be illegal to sell/buy Energy drink's to/for children under 16 years old.

Children these days think it is Cool to buy Energy drinks, These drinks do have a recommendation printed on the tin in small writing that they are not to be sold to children, but i have never noticed this enforced. I want to see it become law that anyone under the age of 16 can not consume any.

I have looked at the top selling Energy drinks in the shops, Some of these drinks are so high in caffeine and other such energy boosting ingredients that children can become ill from drinking these. Children with some disability's may have there behavior altered and it can alter the affect's of the child's medication. There have even been reports of adults dying from these drinks, lets stop this being one of your children.these drinks vary from 30p - £1.00 so are very affordable to children
