Petition Force Plymouth City Council to recognise and negotiate with UNISON.

While negotiating a change to terms and conditions of employment for Plymouth City Council employees, the council decided to de recognise UNISON because the union refused to accept the changes being proposed. The Government needs to take swift action to make local councils aware that de recognising any union is only going to delay any process of negotiation and advise any council that has taken this action, specifically Plymouth, that they must reverse this action immediately in order to make any further progress. The Government stated that it wanted to make the local council's accountable to the public, well now is their chance.
