This petition was submitted during the 2015–2017 Conservative government

Rejected petition Queen Elizabeth ii to remove power from UK Gov if Article 50 not enacted.

Parliament has a duty to act democratically for the citizens of the UK, and the Queen hands the government these powers. Should the incumbent government not evoke Article 50 to withdraw the UK from the EU as determined in the referendum the Queen will withdraw power from the government.

More details

The government failing to act on the will of the people is contrary to democracy. Under these conditions, the Queen will enact Article 50 and take control of the country. After the UK has been withdrawn the UK from the EU an election could be held to form a new government.

If there is a failure to remove power from the government under these conditions, formal notice will be served by the people under Article 61 of the Magna Carta, for a legal rebellion against the government.
