Childcare workers in the early years have one of the most important jobs in the sector as a whole. They are responsible for the early education, health and wellbeing of children under 5. A rewarding job is there ever was one however this is not reflected in their salaries.

The average full time childcare worker in the early years sector makes less than £1050 per month after deductions. This simply is not reflective of the love, hard work, sacrifice and determination to give the future the best possible start in life. As a childcare worker there is no greater joy than helping a child succeed at being a child and being happy, healthy and confident. But job satisfaction can only take you so far when a roof over your head is needed.
