Rejected petition Ban the BBC from showing football instead of Eastenders
I'm fed up of the BBC showing football matches instead of Eastenders. It's affecting my mental health. After learning Eastenders was not being shown again because of a football match I felt helpless.

On days that football is shown when Eastenders is meant to be on I struggle to get out of bed and go about my normal day knowing when I come home I had nothing to look forward to.

The BBC is an independent body governed by a Royal Charter. Under the terms of that Charter, the BBC is operationally and editorially independent of government and there is no provision for the government to intervene in the BBC’s day-to-day operations.
