Closed petition Review and Change the Assesment process for PIP & ESA

Due to the unprecedented amount of Personal Independent Payment (PIP) and Employment Support Allowance (ESA) claims that are being overturned at Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) and Tribunal, we demand that the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), review and change the assessment system.

1.To stop using Atos/Capita assessors
2.All initial assessments to be carried out by the claimants local GP
3.ALL assessors to be medically competent with the conditions they are assessing
4.ALL assessment’s to be recorded as a matter of course
6.Copies of all assessment reports to be sent to claimants
7.Assessors to be penalised if reports untruthful
8.If a claimant goes through the process and awarded by the Court of Tribunal. The DWP should not withhold payment because of appeal.
