Closed petition Close schools when temperature reaches 30 Degrees Celsius.

Closed on

Should schools be closed in a heat wave?
Students are forced to remain at school in uncomfortable weather conditions, following their strict school uniform or business wear in sixth forms. These high, uncomfortable weather conditions enable individuals to feeling distracted and lose concentration.

Teachers also claim that young individuals can become lethargic and less likely to concentrate. however, within hot weather conditions, students and teachers are also likely to faint.

Schools are due to break up for the summer holidays within the next week, but in the meantime many children are coping with “hot and stuffy” classrooms. And, should be shut within atrocious weather conditions. In addition, some schools do not have air conditioning systems or do not use them as they are costly.
