Closed To start the Tax Office and Government standard tax year from the 1st January.

The start date for the Fiscal Year of the 6th April was fixed when the UK moved to the Gregorian Calendar and is based on the antiquated "Quarter Days". Computers and Spreadsheets work best with whole months and years. It is time that the Government Fiscal year is brought into the 21st century.
