Petition Force Manufacturers of all goods to make warranties transferable.

I wanted to buy a lens that's only 4 months old. The maker told me that the 12 month warranty isn't transferable and applies to the original purchaser only. Common with consumer goods. I think they should simply have to guarantee the product for a period of time regardless of changes in ownership.
