Closed Make umbilical/placental donation available to mothers all over the UK.

I have 2 children, Jack (17 months), and Alfred who is 5 weeks old.I looked into umbilical donation when I was having Alfie. I was disappointed when I realised this service is only available in 4 hospitals in the UK and therefore would not be an option to me! What a waste of life saving stem cells!

Cord blood and stem cells are used to repair damaged tissue, regrow and replace worn out organs and cure life threatening illnesses, yet umbilical donation is only available in 4 hospitals throughout the UK. Hundreds of thousands umbilical cords and placentas are simply binned and destroyed every year.
