The use of the word "midget" is used as a hate crime directed at people of short stature. People with restricted growth, frequently experience others insulting them either directly or indirectly with the inappropriate word "midget". This must stop! It is cruel and vile and has no place in society.

Restricted growth is commonly described as having a final adult height of 4’10” or less due to a medical condition.
Most people who have restricted growth have it due to a genetic condition. There are estimated to be several hundred conditions that can cause restricted growth, these can cause proportionate or disproportionate, such as Achondroplasia, restricted growth.
