This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.

Participation of teams representing the home nations (England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland) in football tournaments organised by FIFA is the responsibility of the respective football associations, and not the UK Government. Article 17.1 of the Fifa Statutes, which applies to all member associations, reads: "Each Member shall manage its affairs independently and with no influence from third parties."

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
