Daley Thomson is arguably the most successful decathlete of all time breaking the world record for the event four times and wining gold in two different Olympic Games, three different Commonwealth Games and the World Championships.
Daley Thomson inspired the nation during the 1980s and is still remembered today as an all time great, Thomson is regarded as a national treasure by many and should be recognized with a knighthood for his achievements.
