This petition was submitted during the 2015–2017 Conservative government

Rejected petition Prohibit loud call for prayer (Adhan) in UK mosques.

We do not wish to have this noise pollution 5 times a day blighting our weekends and early mornings (the 5 am prayer). If a Muslim wishes to engage in these practises, then surely they should reside in Muslim country, and not try to change our culture.

More details

Despite the fact that the adhan, or Islamic call to prayer, is an integral part of the Muslim faith, Great Britain is a vastly, predominantly Christian country.
