Closed Get Saddleworth Back Into West riding of Yorkshire; Separate From Oldham!

In 1866 saddleworth became a civil parish in its own right and in 1889 became part of the administrative county of the West Riding of Yorkshire. In 1894 the parish's boundaries were altered with the parts in Quickmere Middle Division (Springhead), Mossley and Uppermill becoming Urban Districts.

The residue became a single-parish rural district. Unfortunately in 1996 the boundaries were changed for the worst & Saddleworth became a part of Oldham, this needs to be reverted back! we should be our own district again belonging to west Yorkshire. please sign this petition to get our boundaries changed back!
