Rejected petition Purchase Broadband Deals without the need/inclusion of a Telephone Landline.

Most people no longer use a landline for calls etc, instead using a mobile. So why and how do Internet Providers get away with this charge, when customers express a disconnection of the landline service to save £17.00 plus s week! Mine (Virgin) says my bill will increase more with no landline!!!!!!!
