The A420 between Oxford and Swindon is too busy It is the main A road shortcut to the south west. The alternative route is 19 miles longer down the A34 and the M4. It badly needs dualling. The proposed trunk road between Cambridge and Oxford should extended to Swindon via the A420 corridor
