Closed Improve policies,procedures and legal requirements associated with Gas Safety

Although engineers must be Gas Safe registered to work on boilers and other gas appliances, the policies, procedures and legal requirements around this are so vague that people without the necessary skill and knowledge are putting peoples homes and lives at danger.

To ensure that only gas safe engineers are able to complete gas related works, we would like to make the following legal requirements.
- Retailers are able to sell Gas related products, parts and materials to registered engineers who show their card at the time of purchase.
- Gas Safe Engineers are required to present their card before entering a customers home when completing any gas work
- No commercial contracts made that relate to gas work without the inclusion of a gas safety registration number and copy of a gas card
