Petition make it legal to revoke a step parent adoption

I have parental responsibility over a child i have no actual connection with.
I feel in the long run the adoption does not benefit the child and could possibly harm them in the future when they are old enough to understand.
The situation i am in is harming my mental health.

I was in a same sex relationship and adopted my at the time partners child.
We are no longer together and myself and the child have no relationship.
Divorce is an option for married couples with no blood connection, step parents should also have this option when it does not harm the child.
