Closed petition All failed asylum seekers (even if Zimbabweans) should be deported regardless of whether they are deported back to a regime deemed to be tyrannical
Closed on
More than 10,000 Zimbabwean failed asylum-seekers are in UK, some 3,000 of whom have exhausted all avenues of appeal. Zimbabwean failed asylum-seekers have not being deported for several years due to fears of harassment and persecution of them on their return. As there is no evidence of such claims, UK Border Agency announced on March 2011 that Britain would resume the forcible return of Zimbabweans whose asylum claims have been rejected. Of course, it is in UK’s (and others) interests to get rid of Mugabe. If the judiciary is separate from the executive and legislators, why should Mugabe not be investigated by the police and indicted by the Zimbabwe judiciary for alleged crimes like vote rigging, the intimidation of voters and crimes against humanity?
