Closed petition Require all local councils in England to use LED bulbs in street lights.

Sodium lighting is commonplace in British towns and cities. These orange lights cause a large amount of light pollution and make it difficult for most of us to see a full starry sky [1]. A switch to Amber LED lighting would improve these conditions greatly and would also be more energy efficient [2]

- On the topic of Amber LED: In this case amber is the suggested colour as dimming the LEDs is the key in reducing light pollution emmisions, it also reduces blue-light exposure. http://darksky.org/lighting/led-practical-guide/
