Petition Give self-build eco-homes by local families automatic planning permission.

We live in a village and have outgrown our home. We bought a corner of a field close to the village centre to build an affordable Eco-home. This year 278 homes have been approved for building on fields within 2 miles of our site by commercial builders. Ours was refused. It's a double standard.

Local Planning Authorities are supposed to be supporting self-builds, eco-homes, affordable homes and local people. Our LPA refused our application even though no measurable harm was established. High-impact commercial developments with big numbers of homes are favoured. This is wrong and is holding back the solution to the housing supply shortfall.
