Rejected petition Stop the BBC making unrealistic programmes on Islam

The BBC have recently aired a documentary named "Muslims Like Us" which shows extremists views of Islam and does not show the correct way of practising the religion. As of the other week they have released a trailer for "The Real Housewives of Isis" which is not something to joke about.

It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.

The BBC is an independent body governed by a Royal Charter. Under the terms of that Charter, the BBC is operationally and editorially independent of government and there is no provision for the government to intervene in the BBC’s day-to-day operations.
