Closed petition To reinstate the death penalty for heinous and serious crimes.

Closed on

If the death penalty is reinstated as punishment for those who commit heinous crimes (terrorism, the harm of children, murder) it will deter those who are thinking about committing such acts, as 'common sense tells us that the death penalty will deter murder'.

It will also support the belief that bad things come to those who deserve it.

'Common sense tells us that the death penalty will deter murder.'
-- Ernest van den Haag PhD
Late professor of psychology at Fordham university.

'I believe that the death penalty is appropriate in certain circumstances. There are extraordinarily heinous crimes, terrorism, the harm of children, in which it may be appropriate.'
-- Barack Obama, on the subject of capital punishment, 2012
44th U.S. President.
