Rejected petition Completely ban The Fox Hunt as organisations fail to follow the 2004 Hunting Act

In 2004 the Hunting Act banned the hunting of wild mammals with dogs in England Wales but still allows the use of dogs in the process of flushing out an unidentified wild mammal and drag hunting (a process where artificial scent is used). However, Hunts still chase live animals breaking the law.

More details

- Hunt in Shropshire seen on 14.01.2017 chasing wild fox, Not drag Hunting.
- Between 2004 & 2011 there have been 237 successful convictions of fox hunting, implying that through law, illegal fox hunting is still in action throughout the U.K.
- Fox hunting is still taking place within the public view and while by some this may be an enjoyable 'sport' to encounter, as soon as it happens in their back yard it's seen as a disgrace due to the harsh chase of an animal.
