Petition Stop local councils cutting low paid jobs without first cutting top salaries.

Recently, Newcastle City Council approved an £8500 pay rise for its chief executive despite assurances to the contrary. Many local council chief executives earn more than the Prime Minister and yet jobs lower down the pay scale are cut to save money.
