currently viagra and other erectile dysfunction drugs can only be obtained through private prescription at a high cost. £7 for the prescription (in my case) and £50 for the drugs(8 of). The Labour government decided to charge as they thought everyone would want them for their effect. I have discussed this with my GP who categorically states that this is not the case and he has never been asked for these drugs by a young man without ED problems. He therefore considers the charges unfair on those with genuine erectile problems. Not everyone can afford to buy them with the result that marriages and partnerships come under threat
