Closed petition Pay for free access to M6 Toll during planned roadworks on the M5/M6 this year.

Closed on

The M5 viaduct between junctions 1 and 2 is being repaired this year. Each carriageway will be closed in turn to allow the deck to be replaced causing the liability of severe congestion. This will back up in both directions. Add repairs to M6 junction 7 and the likelihood is chaos.

Opening the M6 Toll would take some of the pressure off the M6 for traffic heading to London and other south eastern areas, and off the M5 as traffic could head round the M42.

The costs to the economy of traffic being delayed will be huge.
