Closed petition No child maintenance for parents refusing access without legal reason to.

Closed on

Parents who refuse access for other parent should not be entitled to any maintenance for that child if they cannot provide legal reasons and evidence for why they are refusing access. All attempts should be made by all parties involved to resolve outside the courts whenever possible.

The relationship I was in dissolved when my then partner fell pregnant when I was in German with the Army, so I applied for early posting back to the UK and was posted to the south but my partner lived up north, I could only afford to travel once or twice a month, my partner said it wasn't good enough. I made journeys to see my child and on arrival was refused access which left me struggling financially, Travel £240 a month maintenance £250 wasn't feasible. I live north now and still no access.
