Closed Abolish Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) and put extra tax on fuel

The air in British cities is polluted by exhaust fumes and is killing thousands of people.

Abolish VED and replace it with extra fuel tax of 3 p per litre on petrol and 10 p per litre on diesel so that the tax paid is in line with mileage and using the most polluting vehicles is discouraged.
