Closed petition Ban the sale of non-rescue cats and dogs In pet stores.

Closed on

San Francisco enacted a new law stating that pet shops can only sell cats and dogs that come from rescue centres.

Let's follow in their footsteps to ensure that rescued animals find a home before dogs and cats are needlessly bred for profit!

In 2015, the RSPCA alone rescued and collected 118,994 animals. In the same year, 5,142 had to be put down because of overcrowding in shelters and lack of resources.

We, the people of the UK, request a law that will ensure that pet stores will help find homes for the hundreds of thousands of dogs and cats left to be forgotten BEFORE breeding more!
