Rejected petition Close the Estonia E-Residency website

The Estonia E-Residency is scheme where a Non-EU business can operate in the EU as a virtual Estonian citizen. However, this is a legal loophole for companies to pay tax in any Estonia where tax is low.

More details

A case study shows that an US company its tax in Luxembourg via the E-Estonia scheme. The company owner just pays £84 to become a E-Estonian citizen. This means that he has the rights of any Estonian citizen which means to operate in any EU country and pay low taxes there. It is also a way to gain an Estonian Passport which means EU citizenship. This is amoral and against British values. We should shut it down for good

This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.

This isn't something that the UK Government has the power to do. You could start a new petition calling for the UK's tax rules to be changed, to close the "legal loophole" you have identified.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
