Closed GCSE students receive a letter grade instead of a number grade for all subjects

For many years, GCSE students have received a letter grade instead of a number grade, so hanging it is inconvenient and confusing. It would be hard to tell what grade is good and Universities will find this a challenge.

This change would be made for all subjects, including the core subjects, to simplify the grading system and stop and confusion.
