Closed petition Make healthcare insurance exempt from Insurance Premium Tax (IPT)
Closed on
The Association of Medical Insurers and Intermediaries (AMII) is calling on people to support this petition for healthcare insurance to be made exempt from IPT in the UK - helping more people protect their health and reducing strain on the NHS
IPT is set to rise to 12% from June 2017.
This is the third increase in just 19 months.
This means for every £1,000 in premium paid, the government takes £120 in IPT and this could make the difference between someone maintaining health insurance or returning to an overstretched NHS.
Stop penalising people for prioritising their health - make health insurance exempt from IPT.
Sign this petition to help healthcare insurance be part of the solution to the growing health crisis - visit http://amii.org.uk/ipt-petition for more details.
