Rejected petition Replace Theresa May as prime minister with Jacob Rees-Mogg

The current prime minister Theresa May of the United Kingdom isn't the person to lead the Brexit team and ensure Britain and British taxpayers the best future.
The democratic vote must be respected and the British people must be served by our government leaders without further delay.

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s about honours or appointments.

In any case, as you might already know, the Prime Minister of the UK is not chosen by the UK Government or Parliament.

After a general election, the Queen decides who to invite to form a Government. In practice, this is usually the leader of the political party that wins the most seats in a general election. You can find out more about this here:

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
