Petition Raise awareness of germ spreading by licking fingers to open bags/give out paper

Many stores have staff who decide to lick their fingers to make it easier to open carrier bags. This is a serious health and safety issue as it can cause the spread of illnesses and diseases. It is very unhygienic and disgusting and shouldn't be the norm. They can use water instead.

Licking fingers is also often done within schools, organisations and institutions where they give out papers, forms and applications etc. The UK Government needs to launch an awareness campaign to help stop this unhygienic practice.
