Rejected petition Review Child Mainainence Calculations

Review the CMS system in the U.K. which is unfair towards the "non-resident" parents.

Many of us "non-resident" parents are happy to support our children in a reasonable and fair way but the current system for calculation of payment is hugely unfair and is being abused in a huge number of cases

More details

CMS in the U.K. is hugely unfair where fathers are spending a significant amount of time with the child and financially supporting the child in this time, then also paying CMS towards the upbringing of the child.

In my personal example, I have my child almost 40% of the time and financially provide everything in this time, yet am still expected to pay my ex partner a significant amount of maintenance.

Make the parents who don't step up pay, but don't punish those of us who do!

We understand that you're concerned about how child maintenance is calculated, but we're not sure exactly what action you'd like to see.
