Petition To not spend £50m of public money on a memorial to the Holocaust

Why are we spending £50m of public money on a memorial to the Holocaust? Great Britain didn't carry out this atrocity but spent years fighting at war because of it.
Surely this is tribute enough?
Spend our money on more pressing matters at home , e.g. NHS etc.
