The British FPTP election system has lead to an unproportional Parliament not representing the wants of the British people with parties being able to get a majority with just 30 precent of the vote.

The British people have never voted on a truly proportional voting system with AV being heavily flawed and with the referendum in question having a turn out of just 40% many voters wanted something else. MMP keeps constituencies and thus the constituent link.
